Our History
As the founder of WISSA, based in the verdant Nampula province of Mozambique, I’m delighted to recount our story. Starting with castor beans, we pivoted to cassava in response to market demands, overcoming local hesitations to supply products well-received in local and Maputo supermarkets. Our dedication to innovation spurred us to broaden our scope to Moringa, grains, and legumes, focusing on nutritional security and alleviating the daily burdens for women, which resonates with the meaning of “WISSA” in Tsonga – “rest.” Now, we are also making strides in the international market with our premium Moringa oil. It’s an honor to have you with us on this extraordinary venture.
Our Vision
At WISSA, our vision is to establish ourselves as the foremost entity in cultivating and refining Moringa, and a variety of oilseeds within Mozambique. We aim to achieve this leadership status by continually enhancing our production and processing capabilities over the coming years, setting the standard for excellence in the agribusiness sector.
